I have never forgotten your kindness and your poetry in the gardens while we were in your beautiful city. I often tell people of your acts of kindness to strangers from America.

I am working on a documentary, Working Title: Artists of the First Sunrise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples continue to celebrate Dreaming traditions and cultural ceremony through artistry and performance–from music to visual arts to ancient healing techniques which continue to flow like a river from the remote areas to the urban settings in which Aboriginal Peoples have learned to survive. Art communicating across cultures. Indigenous peoples are using their art as a tool to preserve their culture and believe that the Dreamtime, as seen through their art, is the core of their culture – it is through the Dreaming that Indigenous Peoples can tie themselves to their ancestors and perpetuate their 40,000-year heritage. This documentary will fuse documentation of life in the Bush and a celebration of Indigenous art and artists, exploring themes of evolving cultural identity, heritage, and the emotional power of art and help give a global voice to marginalized communities and raise awareness for the importance of cultural preservation.
