NOTE STORICHE

Northumbria was ancient kingdom of the north of England, before it's unification.
This CONFERENCE was ESTABILISHED by the UNIVERSITY of NORTHUMBRIA IN 1995;
is held every two years.

In 2001 the conference, for the first time, met outiside England at Pittsburg,USA as a preconference to the ILFA conference in Boston.
Since 2001 it was held in Durham 2003,2005;
Capetown South Africa 2007
and in 2009 in Florence.
