40° Anniversario dell’alluvione

Arno, la violenza della piena, la bellezza e la ricchezza del suo scorrere.
“Arno sì, Arno no” ed intorno a questi due filoni una serie di eventi di eccezionale spessore culturale e di grandissimo impatto sociale, con il Patrocinio del Quartiere 1 e la Commissione Partecipazione quartiere 1.
Tra le iniziative dedicate all’Arno sì, “La città capovolta” una serie di immagini scattate con occhio attento e curioso da Francesco De Masi il quale ha voluto catturare, per poi donarci una Firenze “magica”; immagini introdotte da un testo di Carmelina Rotundo tradotto anche in inglese da Yvonne DiPalma, testo che rivela un rapporto di amore e di odio con questa città che NONOSTANTE TUTTO continua ad esercitare il suo fascino nella mente e nei cuori dei cittadini del mondo.
“La città capovolta” può essere vista dal 28 ottobre al 19 novembre con orario 10-13 /15-18 presso l’ex chiesa di San Carlo ai Barnabiti via S.Agostino (inagurazione 27 ottobre ore 17). Al Teatro “il Cestello” il 12 novembre ore 21 sarà proiettato il video della “Città capovolta” cui seguirà un dialogo con il pubblico intervenuto.

The Night reserves for us

phantoms and games of light which

Francesco De Masi gathers up with

his lense to give us back images

of a different, unusual city; games

and ghosts which the goldsmiths Ugo Bellini,

Gianni Testi e Paolo Venturini

translate into silver and stone

re-creating within the small volume of a

jewel the magic spell of the sky and the stars.

Deadened noises and unclear sounds;

strange of the Night, queer outlines and

shadows of fairy-tales under the street-lamps

always amusing themselves making the darkness

the main actor, after the sunset

of the daily star.

Like the wind traveling through the nightly

streets and monuments and squares,

so the gentle verses of Carmelina Rotundo,

settle with the lightness of a feather

on the dreamlike staging of

Nicoletta Perrone who,

with her exactness manages to gracefully

challenge the contradictions of the Night.
